It's all go here I can tell you...wind up parties have begun you name it there's a party for it,as everything starts to wind down for the Snowbirds to start packing up to leave!
We had a busy week after chatting to you last time, with as usual clogging, shuffling & swimming with a shuffle meeting to get organized for next year.Golfed at Foothills in the desert with Luther & Avis and we had them over for supper.Nephew Mark & his wife Meloni arrived for 4 days staying with their parents D&J.
The Gals of the Knit & Natter group which I belong to in Calgary, will be pleased to know that I joined a group here called Knit & Stitch. They do similar projects like knitting or crocheting squares which are sewn together for blankets which get donated to the local mission here for the homeless and women's shelter. On Saturday I was involved with the Art Walk which displays all the talent from the various clubs at Country Roads Resort
which encourages people to get a hobby and get involved.I was with the Knit & Stitch group we all took along work we have done or in the process of doing-we had alot of people interested in joining...The pottery group had a raffle along with Material Girls( sewing group) and wood carvers plus other clubs there certainly are a great number of talented people out there. Friday evening was the play 'Miss Emily comes to dinner' which was put on by the drama club here at CR.Considering the players were seniors...they did a good job,but it did tend to go on a bit(which reminded me of plays our children put on at Christmas... :-) !) Anyhow they did well infront of 700 people in the ballroom.
Sunday was the Relay for Life luncheon-always an emotional Day for those who have been touched by Cancer.
This last week we have had our usual Shuffling,Clogging,Swimming Golfing and on Thursday we went to a show ' A Tribute to George Straight' there again 700 people crowded the ballroom and yes it was a good show. Today we have shuffled with our little group that meets every other Saturday and had appetizers/supper at Bill & Amy's.Tomorrow it's golfing with D&J at Desert hills par 3 for 18 holes and they are back at ours for supper. Today temps was 35 hardly any wind-for a change and just gorgeous.
Will post pics and say bye for now...Kay & Him
