Had a lazy afternoon and had a lovely chat with our children in the evening,
we also Skyped with our Nephew who's vacationing in Hawaii.
Wednesday......
We went shuffling and both had good games,we were also able to buy 2 shuffle cues, from other shufflers. So now look out ..................
This afternoon I went to the laundry to do some ironing.Still windy today and at one point looked like rain, but it soon blew over.
We had an early supper as we were going to see the Illusion of Elvis show at the ballroom for 7pm.Janice came along but no David,he has had a cold since Saturday which has left him with a bad cough, and he didn't want to be coughing in the show,so Janice came with us.
What can I say......This guy had done his homework-what a fantastic show-he didn't just sing Elvis' songs he sang as Elvis. He looked like him, sounded like him and if you closed your eyes it was Elvis. He did the scarf give away
so I went right up there-this was my one and only chance, having not seen Elvis for real.To me this WAS Elvis,he was that good.It was not only us who thought this guy was great, the whole place was humming with chatter about how good he was.
So up I go and he kneels in front of me holds out his hand(OMG),I put mine in his,and he wraps a scarf around his neck and off onto mine.
As my childhood friend Susan and I used to be when we went to see his movies,I was all of ga ga :-)
Unbeknownst to me a Gentleman who sat behind me had taken a photo of "Elvis" giving me the scarf, and when the show was over he showed it to me.
He is going to email it along with some others he took-so when we get them I will put them on my blog.
Kay and Him came home arm in arm(me with my scarf around my neck) with the sound of The Battle Song of The Republic still playing in our heads....WOW we were back in our teens again!....Kay and Him
